Allegation: surgeon operated at the wrong level of the lower back
Goal: to prove the ambiguity of OR X-rays that led to honest error
Solution: to show normal v. one-sided fused L5/S1 and usual landmarks for determining level. To demonstrate on the X-rays how the step-off in spondylolisthesis was flattened out when the patient lay on the operating table thus obliterating landmarks on that X-ray.
