Delilah Cohn, MFA, CMI

Delilah Cohn is an award-winning, board certified medical illustrator with over 30 years of experience. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Art from the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. She holds a Master of Fine Art degree in Illustration from Syracuse University and takes numerous continuing education programs in art and medicine to maintain her certification. 

Early in her career, Delilah supervised other artists and was the staff medical illustrator in the Biocommunications Department at SUNY Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY. She founded The Medical Illustration Studio in 1978 and has created illustrations for the medical, health science and legal professions, as well as surgical product companies and a science museum.  She has expanded her services in animation and 3D modeling by partnering with other professionals to offer a full spectrum of services while maintaining the role of project coordinator and art director to assure consistency, quality and personal service.

Delilah is a professional member of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI). In 1989, she was honored to be elected Secretary of the AMI for a term of three years, serving on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors. She has served on numerous other committees in the organization as well. In 1992, she was inducted as a Fellow in the Association for her years of volunteer service. In 1998, she was the recipient of the prestigious AMI Outstanding Service Award “for outstanding service to the Association, excellence as an artist and educator, and bringing honor to our profession.”

Delilah has been invited to be a speaker at seminars for lawyers, paralegal and legal nurse consultant conventions and The American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) annual conference. 

On a personal note from Delilah…

I enjoy movies, reading and dancing. 

I love to hike a beautiful lake trail, dine on fine food, travel and of course see and create art.
